RxRecon is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your health data belongs to you, and we've built our platform to minimize data collection while maximizing your control.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use RxRecon. We encourage you to read it carefully.

**Local Data (Stored on Your Device)** - Medication, supplement, and remedy entries you create - Voice recordings (processed locally or sent to secure servers for transcription, then deleted) - Photos of medication labels (processed for OCR, then deleted from servers) - Your profile preferences and settings

**Server Data (When You Choose)** - Anonymous usage analytics (can be disabled) - PDF reports (stored for 7 days, then automatically deleted) - Crash reports (to improve app stability)

**We Do NOT Collect** - Your real name (unless you choose to add it) - Email address (no account required) - Location data - Contacts or personal files - Health insurance information

**Encryption** - All data transmitted to our servers uses TLS 1.3 encryption - Local data on your device uses platform-native encryption

**Minimal Retention** - Voice recordings are deleted immediately after transcription - Images are deleted after OCR processing - PDF exports auto-delete after 7 days

**No Third-Party Sharing** - We never sell your data - We never share your data with advertisers - We never use your data for marketing purposes

**Secure Infrastructure** - SOC 2 Type II compliant hosting - Regular security audits - Access controls and monitoring

RxRecon uses machine learning services to provide features like voice transcription, text extraction, and risk analysis.

**OpenAI (Whisper & GPT-4)** - Voice transcription and medication extraction - Data is processed under OpenAI's API data usage policy - We use the "no training" option — your data is not used to train models

**Google Cloud Vision (Optional)** - OCR for medication label photos - Images are processed and immediately deleted - Not stored or used for any other purpose

You can choose to disable machine learning features and enter information manually.

**Access Your Data** - Export all your data at any time from the app settings - View exactly what information is stored locally

**Delete Your Data** - Delete individual items or your entire profile - Clear all local data with one tap - Request deletion of any server-side data

**Opt Out** - Disable analytics collection - Disable crash reporting - Use offline mode only

**Data Portability** - Export your medication list as PDF or JSON - Transfer your data to another service

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes:
